The Heisman Trophy will be awarded tonight. The award is given to the top player in college football, and this year there are four finalists. That includes Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love.
The other finalists were Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza, Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia and Ohio State quarterback Julian Saine.

The last running back to win the Heisman Trophy at Notre Dame was Tim Brown in 1987, and the last running back to win the Heisman Trophy was Derrick Henry, who won the award in 2015. Henry currently plays for the Baltimore Ravens of the NFL. Colorado defensive back and wide receiver Travis Hunter, now playing for the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars, won the trophy in 2024.
