Limited:

Upton Stout (Agreement)

George Kittle (ankle)

Ricky Pearsall (knee/ankle)

Yetur Gross-Matos (knee)

Kyle Shanahan said cornerback Leonard Green, who missed the first two weeks with a neck injury, will practice fully.

McCaffrey had his back checked out during Sunday night’s game. Shanahan said McCaffrey’s back was stiff. Shanahan said McCaffrey had been battling a back injury as of two weeks ago. So, on the Titans game: “I know he had a tough time that week. Haven’t heard anything about it since. So, it’s probably been stiff since then. I know it was sore from Sunday night. That’s why we had him here today.”

As for Trent Williams, “We’re not sure how long it’s going to be. Give it a try this week. So, we’ll see.” Shanahan said Williams’ replacement, Austin Pleasant, performed “enough for us to win.”

It’s a short week and the turnaround is quick, and it’s safe to say the 49ers won’t have a lot of conditioning work this week. The team won’t practice until 5 p.m. PT on Tuesday and Wednesday. Part of that is adjusting your body clock for Saturday’s prime-time game. Another reason is to get as much restorative and therapeutic sleep as possible.

Shanahan said they had to change quite a few routines this week because of Saturday’s schedule, from allowing players to arrive late to cutting back on some meeting times.

When Shanahan was asked if we could assume Kittle will play this week since he’s listed as restricted, Shanahan said, “I wouldn’t think so. We had very little movement today. It’s a drill, so we’re short on time and we’re not going to do much all week long.”
