The Alabama Crimson Tide will face the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC Championship Game on Saturday afternoon.
Both Alabama and Georgia are widely considered two of the top teams in college football. The Crimson Tide defeated the Bulldogs 24-21 earlier this season, with Ty Simpson and the Alabama offense as a whole performing well throughout all four quarters of the game.

The Tide will enter the game with serious injuries on both sides, and Alabama will need to perform at a very high level against a talented and savvy Georgia team.
Here are three bold predictions for Alabama vs. Georgia in the SEC Championship Game.
Ty Simpson passed for over 250 yards and 3 touchdowns

Simpson is a great quarterback who has proven to step up under pressure throughout the 2025 season. The nimble redshirt junior had a stellar performance against Georgia earlier this season, with Simpson rushing for 276 yards and two touchdowns. The potential future first-round pick could be in prime position for another big performance on Saturday, as Georgia’s defense will need to be at its absolute best against the talented quarterback.

Yhonzae Pierre has career performance without LT Overton

Pierre played great football throughout the 2025 season. The redshirt sophomore will play a vital role in the SEC Championship Game as star defensive lineman LT Overton is officially out with an illness. Pierre, similar to Simpson, has proven that he shines in the spotlight on many different occasions and is required to perform at an extremely high level when Overton is unable to play.
Conor Talty hit 3 field goals, including the 40+ game winner

Talty will hopefully bounce back from last weekend’s road performance at Auburn. The kicker has had his fair share of struggles in 2025, but Talty could play a big role in Saturday’s SEC championship game. The redshirt sophomore will look to continue playing at a high level in Atlanta, and his performance could end up being a key factor throughout the game.
