Shoppers, get ready, a new HEB store is about to open in the city. HEB has announced the opening date for its new $29 million store on San Antonio’s Far West Side. The 126,986-square-foot grocery store is located in a booming area along the intersection of Culebra Road and Highway 211.
HEB told MySA the new store will open on January 7. HEB did not reveal further details about the in-store facilities. However, the store will include a HEB gas station and car wash, a drive-thru pharmacy, curbside pickup and a True Texas BBQ restaurant, hebdevelopment.com reported.

It is located at 15489 Culebra Road, San Antonio, TX 78253, approximately 2 miles from Northside ISD’s Harlan High School and several growing subdivisions. The store is located just nine miles north of another HEB store at the intersection of Highway 211 and Potranco Road. Since the opening of Potranco’s HEB store, the Stevens Ranch area has seen significant retail and residential growth.
HEB is opening more stores across Texas, especially in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The company hasn’t forgotten San Antonio, however. In August, HEB opened its doors to a long line of people at a new store near the University of Texas at San Antonio. HEB College Park, located at 7330 N. Loop 1604 W. in San Antonio, offers customers their favorite products as well as a wide variety of South Asian and Indian products.
