2026 Sony Open In Hawaii purse, payouts: How much is up for grabs at Waialae Country Club?

The PGA Tour is finally back.

The 2026 PGA Tour season kicks off this week with an annual trip to Hawaii, though this time it’s cut in half due to drought issues around Maui and Kapalua. The Sentinel Tournament, usually the first event of the season, was canceled entirely back in September.

So the season starts with the Sony Open in Oahu, Hawaii. Four of the top 10 players in the official World Golf Ranking are on the field this week, including Russell Henley and defending U.S. Open champion JJ Spaun. U.S. Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley was also on hand, along with Jordan Spieth, Collin Morikawa, Tony Finau and Hideki Matsuyama, among others.
