2 key Steelers injured in MNF win over Dolphins

The Steelers ended Week 15 with a 28-15 victory over the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football in Pittsburgh, ending the Miami Dolphins’ four-game winning streak. However, two of the Steelers’ top players were injured in the win.

Speaking to the media after the game, head coach Mike Tomlin said starting linebacker Isaac Semalo suffered a triceps injury and outside linebacker Nick Herbig suffered a hamstring injury, and both are “under evaluation.” Tomlin classified any other injuries as “game-related bumps and bruises.”

Semalo left the game after being ruled out and did not return in the second half. Jack Sawyer also began to see snapshots of Herbig’s relief.

As always, more information on the timeline and severity of the Steelers’ injuries will be provided during the week’s practice reports. After Monday’s game, Pittsburgh has one less day to prepare and recover before its Sunday game on Dec. 21 against the Detroit Lions.
