1 person from Wisconsin, 3 from Illinois hurt following crash in Outagamie County

BUCHANAN, Wis. (WFRV) – Three people from Illinois and a Kaukauna man were injured in a crash Monday night in Outagamie County, authorities said.

According to a release from the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the intersection of County Highway Z and Haas Road in Buchanan Township around 8:40 p.m. for a report of a two-vehicle collision.

Driver identified after series of vehicle damage incidents on State Highway 25

Officials said a preliminary investigation revealed a minivan traveling south on Haas Road failed to stop at a stop sign and struck an eastbound SUV on County Highway Z.

The three people in the minivan, all from Illinois, were taken to local hospitals with minor injuries. The driver of the SUV, a 66-year-old man from Kaukauna, was airlifted by ThedaStar to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The road was closed for about two hours after the incident and has since reopened. No other information about this incident is available at this time.
