🔥 Florian Wirtz is FINALLY off the mark for Liverpool with goal vs Wolves

It’s been a long time coming for Liverpool’s Florian Wirtz.

The Germany international joined the Reds from Bayer Leverkusen for a big-money fee in the summer but has had a slow start at Anfield in terms of goal contributions.

Apart from a few assists in all competitions, the attacking midfielder has long failed to score.

The drought was almost over when he scored the equalizer against Sunderland earlier this month, but it was ultimately disallowed as an own goal.

Now, with Wirtz scoring in the first half of Liverpool’s Premier League clash with Wolves, the game is officially over.

Minutes earlier, Ryan Gravenberch had shot Arne Slot’s side in front, assisted by Jeremie Frimpong.

Later, Hugo Ekitike slipped when Wirtz broke through the penalty area and shot the ball into the net.

After 16 games in the Premier League, he is now finally out of trouble.

Can Liverpool pull off a crucial win and will it be the first of many goals for Wirtz in a red shirt?
