The Axon 40 Ultra smartphone was launched globally (excluding India) on Wednesday. It features a front-facing camera located under the display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. It houses a 5,000mAh battery, supports 65W charging, and features a curved AMOLED display that is said to have received TÜV Rheinland certification for low blue light. The smartphone is equipped with three cameras, each with a 64-megapixel sensor.

Axon 40 Ultra price, availability

The Axon 40 Ultra is priced at $799 (~Rs 62,000) for the base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model and $899 (~Rs 70,000) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model. These variants are priced at EUR 829 (around Rs 70,800) and EUR 949 (around Rs 79,100) in Europe respectively. Available for pre-order only in black, it will go on sale on June 21st.

The phone will not be available for purchase in India. It launched in China earlier this year.

Axon 40 Ultra Specifications

The dual-SIM (nano) Axon 40 Ultra runs MyOS 12 based on Android 12 and features a 6.8-inch curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,480×1,116 pixels. The monitor features an advanced UDC graphics chip, 20:9 aspect ratio, TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification and 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the phone features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

For photography, the Axon 40 Ultra features a triple rear camera consisting of a 64-megapixel IMX787 primary sensor with an f/1.6 aperture. There’s also a 64-megapixel wide-angle camera and a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto shooter. On the front, it features an under-display 16-megapixel selfie camera.

The Axon 40 Ultra packs up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 built-in storage and packs a 5,000mAh battery with 65W fast charging. DTS:X Ultra enhances dual stereo speakers. The phone is equipped with an X-axis linear motor for haptic feedback. There’s an in-display fingerprint sensor, as well as NFC and Bluetooth v5.2 for connectivity.​
