Brian Andrews may be the most outspoken country music artist when it comes to his disdain for Donald Trump, and the singer has made sure to respond to the president’s recent controversies.
Trump was heartbroken over the weekend after celebrating the death of former FBI director, Marine and Purple Heart recipient Robert Mueller.
“Robert Mueller just died,” Trump writes in The Truth Society. “Good, I’m glad he’s dead. He can’t hurt innocent people anymore! President Donald J. Trump.”
Andrews shared a screenshot of Trump’s post said in a video on his Instagram“On the Donald Trump show today, there’s a (expletive)…”
“I would say I’m just as shocked as the rest of you, but I’m not because we’ve seen this movie before,” Andrews said. “We’ve read the book, we know how it ends. It’s just another (expletive) remake. But, you know, I will say, one of the things I’ve learned from Donald Trump being a part of a huge (expletive) blatantly big (expletive) is how hard his supporters will try to make him look like he’s not, and it never ceases to amaze me, just for him to turn around, look them in the eye, and say, ‘Actually, hold my beer.’ “
“My friends, the cycle repeats itself.”
Andrews has also been a frequent critic of MAGA, which he addressed in the video.
“I say this in a non-hateful way to all the MAGA watching this video, this is why the rest of the political world, including real Republicans who have at least a little bit of understanding of what’s going on, don’t like you,” he said. “It’s because you don’t have any real values that you really stand for and stand for. You want me to tell you how I know that? Because there’s going to be 100 MAGAs in the comments section of this video trying to somehow justify what Trump just said.
“Meanwhile, these are the same people who are calling people’s employers and getting them fired because they say they’re not mourning the death of Charlie Kirk,” he continued. “It’s not that they’re happy about it. It’s not that they’re happy that this happened. It’s that they’re not mourning him. Yet when you see the president of the United States of America doing this, you justify his actions and he’s supposed to be held to the highest standards in the world.
“I’m going to speak slowly this time, so maybe you’ll understand: this is…a…cult.”
