‘Yo, you guys are wild’

Video of Justin Timberlake’s 2024 DWI arrest was released on Friday despite the pop star’s attempts to stop it.

The video was released after Timberlake reached a settlement with the Sag Harbor Village Police Department and local officials on Friday.

An edited version of the body camera footage has been released.

TMZ first posted the video.

The pop star’s attorneys argued in a lawsuit filed against the Village of Sag Harbor and its police department earlier this year that releasing the video would “undermine” Timberlake’s privacy by revealing “private, highly personal and sensitive details.”

In the video, Timberlake undergoes a series of live sobriety instructions. At one point, he said: “These are like tough tests.”

When asked if he would visit the area, Timberlake told him, “Yeah, I’m on tour…I’m on a world tour.”

The officer asked for clarification, but Timberlake said: “It’s hard to explain…um…I’m Justin Timberlake.”

The officer then asked Timberlake to show him his driver’s license and vehicle registration before having him get out of the car to make sure he was “ok to drive.”

Timberlake agreed to publicly release a version of the clip that “does not constitute an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy,” according to documents obtained by People magazine.

In June 2024, the “Sexy Back” singer was arrested on a DUI charge after having dinner at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor. After dinner, he drove to a friend’s house and was pulled over.

Timberlake told police he “drank a martini and followed his friends home,” while refusing to submit to a Breathalyzer test three times.

A spokesman for the Sag Harbor Police Department said Timberlake was cited for running a stop sign and failing to stay in his lane. He was released without bail and was photographed leaving the courtroom.
