Vivo V60 has finally entered the Indian market. It continues the tradition of primarily camera-centric products from its predecessor, the Vivo V50, which was launched about six months ago. A key factor in this is the ongoing partnership with Zeiss, which has yielded great results for the brand, as evidenced by our praise for the camera systems on the Vivo X200 Pro (review) and Vivo X200 FE (review). However, this is not the final result. The phone also comes with a bunch of very interesting features and specifications designed to make it a good overall package for consumers.
Prices start at Rs. The base configuration of the Vivo V60 is priced at $36,999 with 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage, putting it in a very competitive price range. But does this phone stand out? This is our first impression of the Vivo V60.
Vivo V60: Design and presentation
First off, the Vivo V60 sports the same slim and sleek design as the Vivo V50 launched in February, but still looks and feels premium at first glance. However, there is one noticeable difference – the camera bump. It looks closer to the recently launched Vivo X200 FE than its true predecessor, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

The phone is available in Auspicious Gold, Mist Gray and attractive Moonlight Blue color options. The unit I received comes in an auspicious gold tone, with a hint of rose gold on the glass back and a silky texture. This color choice looks attractive without feeling ostentatious. If you don’t want your phone to stand out, either it or the matte gray colorway is a good choice.
The bottom also houses the speaker grille, SIM card slot, microphone and USB Type-C port, while the power and volume buttons are on the right side. Keep the left side of the frame clean. The phone also has an IP68 rating, making it resistant to dust, water, and high-pressure water jets.
Based on our first impressions, the display appears to feature deep blacks and vibrant colors
As for the display, the Vivo V60 features a 6.77-inch full-HD+ quad-curved AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,392 pixels. It has a 120Hz refresh rate and 5,000 nits peak local brightness. Based on initial impressions, the display looks sharp, with deep blacks and vibrant colors. We’ll thoroughly test the screen quality and discuss it in our in-depth review.
There’s also an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication, which has performed very well so far.
Vivo V60: Camera, features and battery
Essentially, the Vivo V60 is the second phone in India to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC. You can also find this chipset on the Realme 15 Pro 5G, and it’s a pretty powerful inclusion. The SoC is complemented by up to 16GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 2.2 onboard storage.
It runs Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15, and Vivo promises four years of OS and six years of security updates.

What’s more, you can find multiple AI-powered features on the Vivo V60. New content includes AI Image Expander, which analyzes content and structure in an image to expand its edges. At the same time, the AI smart call assistant can transcribe and translate calls in real time and provide a summary of the entire call after the call ends. AI captions transcribe live conversations, while the Spam Call Blocking feature leverages AI to identify and flag spam, scam, and telemarketing calls. In the camera department, the Vivo V60 comes with a Zeiss-powered triple rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel primary camera with Sony IMX766 sensor and OIS support, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with Sony IMX882 sensor, 3x optical zoom and OIS support, and finally an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens.

The optics come with an Aura Light, which also doubles as a flash. There is a 50-megapixel selfie camera on the front of the phone. Overall, the camera interface is very similar to what we’ve seen on other Vivo phones like the Vivo X200 Pro and X200 FE. You have the ZEISS Multifocus Portrait with five different focal lengths, as well as the new wedding vlog feature. Vivo V60 is equipped with a 6,500mAh lithium-ion battery and supports 90W FlashCharge wired fast charging.
Price is Rs. 36,999, the Vivo V60 faces stiff competition from the likes of Realme GT 7, Oppo Reno 14 5G and the brand’s own Vivo T4 Ultra 5G. Stay tuned for our full review to learn more.
