The great West Indies Weave Richards responded to Abinaf Mukund after the Indian batsman tweeted. He watched the former’s famous 189 undefeated matches in an ODI match in 1984 Great game against England. Richards made this announcement during the West Indies’ tour to England in 1984. In the opening ODI in Manchester, Richards reached the crease with a score of 11/2 after an early strike. The West Indies continued to lose wickets regularly during the game, and struggled with 102/7 in one stage, and later with 166/9.
However, Richards played one of his most memorable ODI rounds. He scored 189 unbeaten games in 170 goals and led by a total score of 272/9 from their 55 games.
When the West Indies defeated England by 168 points to achieve a 104-point victory, the knock on the door was crucial, and Richards chose two wickets with the ball.
After seeing the highlight clip of the knock on the door for the first time, Mukund shared his admiration for the legendary physical Chaz on Twitter.
“Without cricket, I am a little bit ashamed to watch the highlights of the old games randomly on YouTube. This is my first time watching @ivivianrichards’s 189*! My goodness, this is also a 166/9 game. What else do you guys have? Any suggestions on what to look at next?” Mukund wrote on Twitter on Tuesday.
No cricket and random watching highlights from old games on YouTube, a bit ashamed to say that this is my first time watching 189* @ivivianrichards ! My goodness, this is also a 166/9 round. Do you have any suggestions on what to watch next?
