“He has an ACL and he’s going to be out for a few months,” Stars coach Glenn Gruzan told reporters on Wednesday, Dec. 3. “We didn’t get good news today. I haven’t talked to Taylor yet, but let it be known that he’s going to be out for a significant period of time, probably the rest of the season.”
Seguin is expected to miss the remainder of the season with the injury. This is the second consecutive season he has suffered a serious injury. Last season, he played only 20 games in the regular season due to hip surgery, but he was able to return at the end of the season and in the playoffs.
Before injuring his knee, he played in all 27 games this season, scoring seven goals and 17 points.
Seguin has a history of injuries, including two cuts from skates.
