Twitter has changed the way it does the “For You” and “Following” timeline tabs on the Home page feature. It announced on Wednesday the web version of the social media platform will now remember the timeline of the user’s last visit. Upon returning to the site, users will see the timeline tab they had last open. This feature will soon be available on Twitter for iOS and Android. The Elon Musk-owned microblogging platform has been defaulting to the “For You” tab when users return to the site.

Twitter announced Wednesday Twitter on the web will return users to the “For You” or “Following” tabs, depending on which tab they last had open before logging out. Twitter CEO Elon Musk recently shared the social media platform’s intentions to roll out these changes soon. Twitter said the change will soon be reflected in the iOS and Android versions of Twitter as well.

Musk also revealed Twitter is working on giving users the ability to customize the position of timeline tabs within the app. Currently, the “For You” tab is located in the upper left corner of the home page, with the “Following” tab on the right. He also announced that Twitter users can now bookmark tweets directly from the tweet detail page. The app will soon support displaying the number of users who have bookmarked a particular tweet.

Another new feature is also coming to Twitter soon. It is working on automatically translating and recommending tweets for users in other countries. Musk revealed tweets will be translated before being recommended to users.

Twitter has gone through a lot of changes since Musk took over last October. A recent update to its developer terms reportedly banned all third-party clients on the Weibo platform. The move effectively killed popular clients like Tweetbot, Twitterrific and Fenix. Some developers have already announced they will stop developing their apps.
