In a new annual financial report, Nintendo revealed how much it paid to some of the company’s celebrities.
The report lists the names of Nintendo President Kotaro Furukawa and company directors Shigeru Miyamoto and Shinya Takahashi, showing the total amount of compensation received by each. As you might expect, Guhe County has the highest income, but the actual numbers are somewhat surprising.
- Furukawa Shuntaro: USD 2.4 million (USD 730,000 basic + USD 1.67 million bonus)
- Shigeru Miyamoto: USD 1.8 million (basic USD 670,000 + USD 1.13 million bonus)
- Shinya Takahashi: USD 1.24 million (basic USD 110,000 + USD 1.13 million bonus)
At the other end of the scale, Last year’s report Activision CEO Bobby Kotick and EA CEO Andrew Wilson both earned approximately $30 million in income, which is more than 300 times the average salary of their employees.
The moral of this ratio is another day’s discussion, but it highlights the obvious difference between Nintendo’s way of doing things and how other companies handle employees. Of course, back in 2014, the president of Nintendo Satoru Iwata takes a 50% pay cut Support the company in case of financial loss.
