Just a few hours before the launch of the new 2019 Razr at the Motorola event in Los Angeles, and the discovery of Easter eggs, it will make the classic Moto RAZR fans feel chilling. The modern version of Moto Razr brings great inspiration to its design and uses a foldable OLED display to achieve the classic flip phone shape. However, Motorola made the phone for fans of the original RAZR and paid tribute to the original phone with a special Easter egg hidden in the new Razr menu.
The new Razr gets rid of the classic small LCD display and stylish T9 keyboard buttons but provides a modern inventory Android UI with built-in Moto functionality. However, if you want to see the classic button layout when opening a new Razr, Motorola will let you do that, but it’s not easy. A group of people who have used the new Moto Razr says that there is an Easter egg inside the phone that can provide a classic UI experience.
According to The Verge, Moto Razr comes with a classic UI launcher that can be activated manually. Once activated, it will launch the inventory of the Android launcher and bring the T9 keyboard and the small screen at the top, similar to the original RAZR. The UI even mimics the middle hinge. And you should know that the UI will make the new Razr behave exactly like the old RAZR.
The top half of the display will show the display with the classic icon for the selected application. Also, you must use the on-screen touch buttons to open these applications – in this mode, touch detection in the display section is disabled. The T9 keyboard with classic neon lighting is fully functional and behaves like the original T9 keyboard. In a way, if you’ve ever used the original Moto RAZR phone, you can feel at home with this special UI. The edge even says that the Retro Razr UI brings classic startup animations and system sounds.
No one currently owns Moto Razr, but if you plan to have it for $1,500 in a few weeks, there is an easy way to activate it. Go to the Quick Settings panel and click Edit Options, then you must drag the Retro Razr button to the active area and leave it here. Once you’re done, activate the Retro Razr UI with the click of a button and you’ll have the best status for the moment and the past.
