ASUS announced a new firmware update for ROG Phone 3. The update bundles the September 2020 Android security patch with multiple bug fixes, improvements and features, including the addition of VoLTE support for BSNL users in India. ASUS ROG Phone 3, supported by Qualcomm’s top Snapdragon 865+ SoC, was launched in India in July this year. The change log says that system vibration has been optimized, and the issue of misalignment of the status bar after hiding the clock and crashing of developer mode when connecting to certain Bluetooth devices has been fixed.
This update also solves the problem that more than two mouse inputs cannot work with Mobile Desktop Dock at the same time. The updated firmware version is 17.0823.2009.98. It has been launched in batches and may not attract many users at once.
ROG Phone 3, which focuses on gaming, can run on Android 10 and has a custom ROG UI on top. It has a 6.59-inch full HD+ (1,080×2,340 pixel) AMOLED display and a 144Hz refresh rate. Its model has up to 12GB of onboard LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
