According to a Weibo post by the Vivo sub-brand, the iQoo 5 series will be officially released in China on August 17. iQoo has begun to tease that its 5 series will provide “flagship performance” and hinted that it will support 120W fast charging. It is not clear how many models will be released as part of the lineup, so we will have to wait and see. The conference is scheduled to be held on August 17 at 2:30 pm local time in China (12 pm U.S. standard time). We have not heard anything from iQoo India, so it is still unclear if/when these phones will be launched in India.
iQoo has published several official posts on Weibo (@iQoo手机). The most recent is the picture, and the date and time it was published. If you look at the image carefully, it will mention “120W” and “15 minutes”. All this confirms that the iQoo 5 series will support 120W fast charging and should be able to charge the battery within 15 minutes. This also corresponds to the same prompt that we reported yesterday. 120W fast charging is the latest charging technology launched by iQoo in July.
iQoo has not mocked or confirmed any other specifications of the phone, but it will become its new “performance flagship”. Considering that iQoo 3 (review) has a Snapdragon 865 SoC, it only makes sense to use iQoo with the same or Snapdragon 865+ SoC. Considering that the company’s other models (such as iQoo U1 and iQoo Z1x) have not yet been launched here, its listing in India is still uncertain.
