Earlier this month, WhatsApp officially announced that it will introduce disappearing messages, which will automatically delete your WhatsApp messages after a period of time. Now, the new feature is finally available to everyone. The details of the new feature are already on the FAQ page created by WhatsApp, and users can now enable this option to delete personal or group chat messages after 7 days. Follow this guide and tell you how to enable disappeared messages in WhatsApp.
WhatsApp: How to enable disappearing messages
Before proceeding, please make sure you have installed the latest version of WhatsApp on your smartphone. For Android users, this will be Version 184.108.40.206 For iPhone users, this will be the version 220.127.116.11.
After sorting, please proceed with the following steps to enable disappeared messages in WhatsApp.
- Open one WhatsApp chat >click Contact information >Scroll down to find the “Missing Messages” feature.
- This feature is disabled by default.Tap carry on,then click on Enable this feature.
- You must enable this feature separately for each chat. Once completed, your email will be automatically deleted after 7 days.
You can’t determine the duration of the message before it disappears in the chat, which means your only option at the moment is at least seven days. Competing apps like Telegram provide users with multiple options, but WhatsApp has decided to start with a time setting.
In addition, you can also store the disappeared messages before they are deleted, that is, by copying these messages and storing them in a different location. The same is true for media files, you can always take a screenshot and save the photo before deleting the photo.
This enables disappearing messages in WhatsApp. For more tutorials, please visit our “how to” section.
