The Georgia Bulldogs defeated the No. 16 Alabama Crimson Tide 98-88 on Tuesday night in Athens. The second half was delayed for 20 minutes due to a shot clock malfunction.
Georgia was hot on offense throughout the game. Star forward Kanon Catchings scored an impressive 32 points on 12-for-20 shooting, and the talented sophomore set a career-high in scoring with seven 3-pointers. Georgia was the faster, stronger team throughout the game as the Tide was no match for the Dawgs.

Georgia improved to 21-9 overall and 9-8 in SEC play with its win over Alabama. A win for the Dawgs over the Tide will undoubtedly secure their ticket to the NCAA Tournament later this month, as Georgia has proven to be better against an elite Crimson Tide team that enters the game riding an eight-game winning streak.

The Dawgs will face Mississippi State in the regular-season finale on Saturday afternoon, as Georgia will be one of the favorites in the entire SEC to make the conference tournament next week. Georgia has won four of its last five games.
