Sarfaraz Khan is one of the most talented new cricketers in Mumbai cricket. The right-handed batsman again and again showed coolness on his shoulders and his talent on display again on the first day of the Iran Cup Saurashtra and the rest of India. Sarfaraz displayed the perfect combination of aggression and caution as the rest of India went on at 18/3 in the fifth inning.

Saurashtra tied for just 98 innings in the first innings but the rest of India also lost quick wickets and the task of fell to Sarfaraz and skipper Hanuma Vihari. The pair went 187 unbeaten on Day 1, taking the score to 205/3 and extending the lead to 107. Sarfaraz is unbeaten in 125 games while Vihari is unbeaten in Stumps field with 62.

Veteran pro Suryakumar Yadav impressed with the strike, with the right-hand batsman sharing a of him celebrating with Sarfaraz behind him, writing: “So proud of you.”

Sarfaraz Khan had 138 from 178 before being sacked by Chirag Jani on Day 2.


His knock covered with 20 boundaries and two sixes.

Earlier, Saurashtra knocked out for 98 after a fine bowling by the RoI Pacers. Mukesh Kumar returned with four wickets, while Kuldeep Sen and Umran Malik took three wickets each.
