Silent Hill 2 Remake’s Xbox Series S/X Version Listed on ESRB Website, Suggesting Upcoming Launch

The “Silent Hill 2” remake will be released as a PS5 console exclusive in October 2024, along with the PC version. A year later, it looks like the survival horror game is finally coming to Xbox. The Xbox Series S/X remaster developed by Bloober Team has been listed on the ESRB ratings website, suggesting that an official announcement from Konami isn’t far away.

Silent Hill 2 Remastered Xbox version gets ESRB rating

The Entertainment Software Rating Council rates games for various age groups across platforms. A new listing for the Xbox Series S/X version of the Silent Hill 2 remake has appeared on the ESRB website (via VGC). The game is rated “M” (for Mature) – it’s a survival horror game with violence, gore, and mature themes.

There are already separate ESRB listings for the PC and PS5 versions of Silent Hill 2 Remastered. A new listing suggests the game may be coming to Xbox sooner rather than later. Konami has yet to officially announce the Xbox Series S/X port of Silent Hill 2 Remastered.

Bloober Team’s remastered version of “Silent Hill 2” launches exclusively on the PS5 console, while Konami’s latest survival horror series “Silent Hill 2” launches simultaneously on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series S/X on September 25.

Konami also recently added the Silent Hill 2 remake to the PS Plus game catalog one year after its release. Sony announced last month that the Silent Hill 2 remake would be added to its catalog of games as part of its Halloween horror offerings. On October 21, the game was added to the games catalog, along with other titles such as Until Dawn, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, and V Rising.
