Evans joins Drake’s coaching staff after a standout college career at Iowa. After moving on to play at Iowa State in 2019, Evans finished his college career with 135 tackles, 35 sacks, 28 sacks, four forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. Evans, who played against Rutgers while at Iowa, terrorized the Cavaliers in 2022, recording four sacks in the Hawkeyes’ 27-10 win over Rutgers.
Evans went undrafted out of college but was released after a brief stint on the Baltimore Ravens’ practice squad in 2024.
Evans will now work under new Rutgers defensive line coach Dennis Dodin-Carter.
