Naoufel Khacef restored Ramovic’s side to take the lead two minutes into the second half, but Mohamed Bangoura’s 90th-minute strike sent the Algiers derby into overtime.
Youcef Amine Laouafi scored the crucial goal in the 100th minute to ensure Belouizdad advanced to the semi-finals with a thrilling 3-2 win.
Mokwena’s side are winless in their last four games and the pressure is starting to mount on the South African tactician.
The former Wydad Athletic Club and Mamelodi Sundowns boss will be tasked with retaining the league title, winning the domestic cup and taking a step further in the CAF Champions League after the club exited in the quarter-finals last season.
MCA will now turn their attention to Algerian Liga 1, where they will face ES Mustaganem on Saturday, March 7.
