Mi protective glass is made of Corning’s accessory glass. The brand is considered the standard when it comes to smartphone screen protection and special glass. It is compatible with Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. It has 9H hardness and excellent damage protection. Mi protective glass is an alkali metal aluminosilicate glass, which has higher safety than soda lime tempered glass. It is said to have a thickness of 0.4mm and an edge of 2.5D.

There is an oleophobic coating on the top, then a tempered glass layer, an optically transparent adhesive coating, an explosion-proof film, a silicone adhesive coating, and finally a release layer. Xiaomi stated that Mi protective glass has undergone an ion exchange process, and its protection is five times that of standard soda lime tempered glass.
