The Baltimore Ravens are making a move ahead of their Week 14 game against Pittsburgh, reportedly signing former Steelers RB Jonathan Ward to their practice squad.
On Tuesday, KPRC2’s Aaron Wilson reported that Ward will sign with the Ravens’ practice squad after a successful workout, a solid move for Baltimore’s depth after placing RB Justin Hill on injured reserve last week.
Signing a one-year contract with Pittsburgh in May 2024, Ward appeared in four games primarily on special teams while spending time on and off the practice squad. He signed a reserve/future contract with the Steelers in January 2025 but was released in June.

Ward subsequently signed with the New York Giants, but was released as part of final roster cuts. He spent time on the New England Patriots’ practice squad shortly afterward before arriving in Baltimore, where he could debut in the 2025 regular season against Pittsburgh if the Ravens draft him into a depth role.
