PUBG: Krafton revealed on Friday that New State is getting a new update next week that will bring features that limit cheats and third-party programs exploiting the game in real-time. The update will also improve the user experience by fixing issues with the gyroscope and in-game sound system. In addition to the update, Krafton announced that PUBG: New State has surpassed 40 million downloads. It celebrates success by hosting virtual parties in the battle royale game and offers gamers product rewards including chicken medals and BP random boxes.
In an official announcement, Krafton stated that the latest PUBG: New State update will bring the ability to remove players who use third-party programs that help them take advantage of the game and gain an unfair advantage. The new anti-cheat mechanism will also strengthen restrictions, suspensions and bans on unauthorized third-party programs.
The update will also fix gyroscope sensitivity issues and add reverse control to the gyroscope. Likewise, it will fix bugs involving virtual controls and squad kills. The game’s publisher noted that it will also fix an issue with inconsistent footsteps in some cases.
PUBG: New State will also get full sprint character animations to improve the character experience. In addition, the update will also fix problems such as characters bouncing back to their original position when walking or running on the edge of stairs or buildings, abnormal display of the scope, and sudden gray balls in the lobby. It will also fix graphics when accessing games via deep links on iOS. There will also be other known bug fixes.
Exact details on when the update will reach users have not been revealed, but Krafton said the game will be undergoing maintenance next week to pick up the changes.
In addition to the update, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds: NSW surpassed the 40 million milestone in downloads worldwide. A 7-day gaming virtual event for gamers to celebrate success. The event will run until December 6th, and Days 1, 4 and 7 will bring rewards including three Chicken Badges. Gamers will also get BP random boxes on the third and fifth day of the event. There will be Troi 150% BP Card and Erangel 150% BP Card on the second and sixth day of the event respectively.
Players can log in to PUBG: New State during the event to get the given rewards. It is worth mentioning that the rewards will be time-limited and will not be available after the virtual party.
