The PS5’s February replenishment is scheduled for Tuesday, and it’s special. Sony has announced that the latest batch of pre-orders for their current-gen console in India is scheduled to go live on February 7 at 12 noon. Unlike past months, when gamers were forced to buy the PS5 Horizon Forbidden West bundle — regardless of the PS5 version — the company is now offering alternatives to choose from. This time, in addition to the God of War Ragnarok bundle, Sony will also purchase the disc version of the PS5 separately. Bear in mind that the prices were revised following the November hike, with the base PS5 now costing Rs 200. 54,990.

The God of War Ragnarok Bundle is priced at Rs. 59,390 — This is Rs. 5,400 Rs 5,400 more than the Horizon Forbidden West bundle. It was 53,990 in August. In November, Sony India the price of its current-generation console by 12.5%, resulting in a newer, higher price point for the bundle. The standalone PS5 digital edition is now available for Rs. 44,990, while the more powerful disc version of the PS5 is now available for Rs. 54,990 – as above. Thankfully, these accessories haven’t seen a price hike yet. God of War Ragnarök has been acclaimed by fans and critics alike for its epic storytelling and combat improvements over the original. The game won six categories at The Game Awards 2022, but lost out to Elden Ring at the coveted Game of the Year award.

While the retailer itself hasn’t provided any details on the bundle itself, games analyst Rishi Alwani told TechnologyShout that it should include digital download codes for the bundled games. Currently, pre-order banners and ads are live on Reliance Digital, e2z Store and Sony Center websites. Given what we’ve seen in the past, the PS5 is also expected to be available for pre-order on Amazon, Croma, Flipkart, Gameloot, and Vijay Sales. While PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan promised last month that PS5 supply shortages won’t be a problem going forward, there’s no guarantee it will apply to India as well. So make sure you’re ready for your pre-order date, as the console will run out of stock soon, just like a flash sale – first come, first served.

Plus, enthusiasts can now buy the PS5’s DualSense Edge controller, which is effectively Sony’s belated answer to the Xbox Elite line of gamepads. Priced at Rs. 18,990, it comes with a host of customizable options, including remapping buttons, swapping thumbstick caps, and the ability to create individual profile settings to easily switch between games.

According to ShopatSC, if you manage to pre-order a console, it should start shipping around February 21st. The website also provides boilerplate COVID-19 warnings, which may be delayed depending on lockdown or curfew rules in selected locations. “Product delivery will depend on your location,” it added.
