Prey and Jotun: Valhalla Edition will be available for free on the Epic Games Store next week. The former is a sci-fi simulation game from Arkane Studios, available on Windows, while the latter is a hand-drawn action-adventure game for Windows and macOS created by Thunder Lotus Games. Both titles were previously available for free in stores. Anyone with an Epic Games Store account can simply log in to add them to their library next week, just like every other game Epic Games offers for free.
Next week’s free games have been announced on the Epic Games Store’s free games landing page. From May 12th, gamers will be able to add Prey and Jotun: Valhalla Edition to their game library. The first title, Prey, is a 2017 title, set in another timeline in 2032. Waking up on the Talos I space station orbiting the moon, gamers must try to survive using the tools around you while discovering a mysterious threat raging on the space station. As one of the last remaining survivors, players will need to craft items on the space station using blueprints, gadgets, and tools – all while avoiding dangerous creatures that can disguise themselves as normal items. Jotun: Valhalla Edition, on the other hand, will put players in the role of Sora, a Viking who died in disgrace. In order to redeem herself, she must prove herself to the Norse gods by defeating five Jotun elemental giants made up of five classes – Plant, Lightning, Ice Giant, Fire, and Warrior. Through a combination of exploration and puzzle solving, players must reach runes and temples at each stage to continue the story and unlock/upgrade divine powers respectively. For those who don’t want to wait until next week, terraforming Mars, usually costs Rs. 469 on the Epic Games Store, currently usable For a free week, gamers can add Asmodee Digital’s turn-based strategy game to their library until May 12 at 8:30pm IST.
