The Green Bay Packers have significantly cut back on their rushing attack this offseason but have yet to bring in a replacement.

That edge rusher is Rashan Gary, who was traded by the Packers to the Dallas Cowboys last month.
Although Gary was missing during the second half of last season, there is no denying that the Packers still need to replace his 7.5 sacks.
Making matters worse for the Packers, superstar linebacker Micah Parsons could miss as many as four games as he recovers from the torn ACL he suffered late last season.
In order to do that, CBS Sports’ Garrett Podell suggests the Packers sign eight-time Pro Bowler and former Washington Chargers edge rusher Von Miller, who he believes would be the best fit for Green Bay.

Here’s what Bodell had to say about the Miller-Packers relationship:
Miller would make a lot of sense for the Packers given the situation with Micah Parsons. Parsons is recovering from a torn ACL. Miller would be an ideal addition to hold down the fort at the edge against former first-round pick Lucas Van Ness until Parsons returns. Once he does, Miller could become a situational pass rusher for the Packers, a team that has a whopping $1,500 odds to win the Super Bowl, seventh-best in the NFL, according to DraftKings Sportsbook. Even though Green Bay was considered a free-agent-resistant team, general manager Brian Gutekunst signed veteran defensive tackle Javon Hargrave to hold down the fort until Devonte Wyatt returns from injury. Miller would be a similar signing.
On the surface, signing a 37-year-old edge rusher might not seem like a good idea, but when you consider what Miller has done in 2025, it doesn’t seem like a bad idea at all.
According to Pro Football Focus, Miller had nine sacks and 36 pressures despite playing only 37 percent of the snaps.

Miller also managed to stay healthy and play in every game for Washington.
To help keep him relevant at his advanced age, the Packers could deploy Miller in obvious passing situations.
Ideally, the Packers would fill their edge needs through draft picks and free-agent signings with veterans.

Miller definitely checks the latter box.
