On the second day of Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s resignation, well-known technology blogger Jane Machun Wong cracked a way to add Ethereum to Twitter’s Tip Jar feature, which is now available. This development is interesting because Dorsey, who has always been a major supporter of Bitcoin, has repeatedly refused to invest in Ethereum.

Sharing a screenshot of the adjusted function, Wong said that she seems to have done her “magic” to enable tipping on Ethereum, the world’s second largest cryptocurrency after Bitcoin.

She further added a wallet address for people to remind.

Wong’s advanced technical skills have excited crypto enthusiasts. Some people say that Dorsey’s departure may be the beginning of the company’s pro-Ethereum approach.

Although it is currently expected that the adjustment function will not be visible or available to everyone, senior engineers can follow Wong’s footsteps and add Ethereum skills to the Tip Jar function by themselves.

A Decrypt report stated that Twitter is currently investigating the matter and will respond later.

Twitter has been taking steps to promote the adoption of cryptocurrencies through its platform used by millions of people around the world.

Recently, it announced the addition of a new label to allow people to display their non-fungible token (NFT) assets on the platform.

After 15 years of founding Twitter, Dorsey said goodbye to his CEO chairman on 29.

According to the New York Times, the former head of Twitter aims to focus on cryptocurrency and philanthropy in the coming days.
