Recent smartphone launches haven’t consistently proven that smartphones don’t have to be boring when it comes to design. The company plans to bring this legacy to a wider audience with the Nothing Phone 3a Lite. The brand’s latest smartphone is the entry into the Nothing ecosystem, sitting under the Phone 3a series. That said, the brand has made sure to add most of the unique elements such as a transparent back, Glyph interface, AMOLED display, clean user interface, and more. However, this phone is also the first in the series to come with Glance and pre-installed apps. That said, we’ve been using the device for a while, and here’s what you need to know.
Starting with the pricing, the Nothing Phone 3a Lite is priced at EUR 249 (approximately Rs. 25,580) for the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, while the top-end model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at EUR 279 (approximately Rs. 28,660). The smartphone will be available in Europe and the UK from October 29, 2025. Nonetheless, the brand has revealed that it will bring its latest smartphone to the Indian market, but without a clear timeline.
The smartphone features a transparent back and is available in white and black color options.
Now that you’re familiar with pricing, let’s talk design. The latest Lite variant of Nothing brings all the bells and whistles of a typical Nothing smartphone. You get a clear glass back panel, which certainly doesn’t look like much from a distance. What’s more, the camera sensor looks more like the Phone 3, although the brand has managed to offer some distinction.
The smartphone has volume control buttons on the left side and power on/off button and basic keys on the right side.
The battery module has a decidedly rugged appearance, while the rest of the panel looks plain. There is also a glyph light in the lower right corner. The phone comes with a flat aluminum frame that offers a good grip when holding it, despite the slippery glass panel. The right side of the device has a power on/off button and a dedicated basic key, while on the left side, you can see the volume controls.
All the buttons are blacked out, which really adds some sparkle to the design. The base houses the speaker grille, SIM card tray, and USB Type-C port. The phone weighs 199 grams and fits easily in the hand, with a thickness of 8.3 mm. The phone is available in two colors: white and black.
The smartphone comes with a 6.77-inch flexible AMOLED display with a screen refresh rate of 120Hz.
In terms of display, the Nothing Phone 3a Lite features a 6.77-inch flexible AMOLED display that offers Full HD+ resolution (1080×2392 pixels). The phone also comes with a 120Hz screen refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits. You also get a 10-bit color panel along with 2160Hz PWM dimming and 1000Hz instant touch sampling rate. That said, during my brief use, the display looked good in indoor conditions, and the colors were good enough. We will discuss this further in an upcoming review.
Another major highlight of the brand is its cameras. Nothing Phone 3a Lite comes with a triple-camera setup on the rear panel. The device features a 50-megapixel Samsung sensor with f/1.88 aperture and OIS + EIS support. The device also comes with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro shooter.

The phone has a 16-megapixel selfie camera on the front for selfies and video calls. Interestingly, the phone also uses TrueLens Engine 4.0, which was first introduced in the Phone 3. The software offers useful features such as AI scene detection, Ultra XDR, and auto-toning for accurate skin tones.
Next, the Nothing Phone 3a Lite is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro processor, which is also used in the CMF Phone 2 Pro. The chipset is based on the 4nm process. You also get 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage, expandable up to 2TB via microSD card.

The device runs Nothing OS 3.5 based on Android 15. The company promises 3 years of software and 6 years of security patches. The user interface presents Essential Space, an AI-driven library that lets you organize notes, transcribe text to audio, and more. There is also a dedicated basic key for quick access to the space.
That being said, the Nothing Phone 3a Lite also marks an important shift for the brand. With this, you get Glance and some pre-installed apps. However, the company claims that it will provide users with full access to select Glance or disable it entirely. Likewise, the company is currently adding three pre-installed apps to the phone — Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok — though we may see more in the future.
The latest smartphone comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.
Finally, the Nothing Phone 3a Lite comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. The brand claims that the phone can offer up to 55 hours of music playback, up to 22 hours of YouTube, and up to 9.5 hours of gaming.
All in all, the Nothing Phone 3a Lite seems to fill the gap between the CMF series and the Phone 3a series. This phone falls somewhere in between, giving users in this price range more options. The brand offers a good value for money proposition in this segment, including a transparent back, clean user interface, a good display, and decent overall performance. That said, it will be interesting to see how the brand fares in a market like India, where the rupee is quite competitive. 20,000 Rs 30,000 price range.
