Nokia G50 was launched Wednesday by HMD Global, a Nokia brand licensee, as the latest affordable 5G mobile phone. The new Nokia mobile phone is equipped a water drop display and a triple rear camera. Nokia G50 also includes 64GB of onboard storage space and is supported by the eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC. Currently, Nokia G50 is unique to the UK market. However, over time, it may become available in other markets. This phone will be located next to the Nokia G10 and Nokia G20, which are affordable 4G phones in the Nokia G series.

Nokia G50 price, availability

The price of the Nokia G50’s only 4GB RAM + 64GB onboard storage is set at 199.99 pounds (approximately Rs 20,100). The phone is available in two colors, midnight sun and sea blue, and can be purchased in the UK. Details the launch of the Nokia G50 in markets including India have not yet been announced.

Nokia G50 specifications

The Nokia G50 runs Android 11 and is equipped a 6.82-inch HD+ display with a peak brightness of 450 nits. This phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC and 4GB of RAM. The Nokia G50 is equipped with a triple rear camera setup, which includes a 48-megapixel main sensor, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

For selfies and video chats, the front of the Nokia G50 is equipped an 8-megapixel selfie camera sensor.

Nokia G50 comes 64GB of onboard storage space and supports expansion via a microSD card (up to 512GB). Connection options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/A-GPS, NFC and USB Type-C ports. Onboard sensors include accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer and proximity sensor. The phone also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

HMD Global provides a 5,000mAh battery (removable) the Nokia G50 and supports 18W fast charging. In addition, the size of the phone is 173.83×77.68×8.85mm and weighs 220 grams.
