Grand Theft Auto 6 will be released on PS5 and Xbox Series S/X on November 19, 2026. Developer Rockstar Games has not released any new updates for Grand Theft Auto 6 since delaying the game for the second time last month. But a new leak has surfaced online, which appears to include a brief video from the game’s development.
The leak comes in the form of a demo reel from a former Rockstar Games employee, which includes an alleged video clip from GTA 6 in development showing off in-game animations. The video was shared by X user SynthPotato, a news and updates channel dedicated to Rockstar games.
GTA 6 leaked animation
The 13-second video shows off several animated sequences that appear to be from Grand Theft Auto 6. In the video, a male character can be seen unlocking and getting on and off the bike from a parked bike rack. The second clip shows a female character jumping out of the back of a pickup truck. The truck appeared to be parked near Ocean Drive in Sin City.
Both animations look detailed and smooth. The quality of the animation combined with the male and female characters and Ocean Drive setting make it likely that the footage in development is from GTA 6.
Rockstar Games has yet to share gameplay for GTA 6. According to Rockstar, the game’s second trailer is half cutscene and half gameplay.
This isn’t the first time GTA 6 has leaked. Before the game received its first trailer, a web leak leaked extensive gameplay footage of the game in development. Early development footage revealed the dual protagonists and Vice City setting.
Since then, Rockstar has been strictly executing the development of GTA 6. Aside from two trailers, details and screenshots on the GTA 6 website, and an official delay announcement, the developer has yet to share official details about the game.
Last month, GTA 6 was delayed for a second time, pushing the game’s original release date of May 26, 2026, to November 19, 2026. Rockstar says additional development time is needed to bring the game to the level of polish the studio expects.
