The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has launched the full version of the new Aadhaar app. It was first announced by a government agency in November 2025 and is available for download, but its functionality is limited to some services. The full-featured app launched today offers a wide range of Aadhaar-related services designed to help citizens store their Aadhaar information securely and improve user convenience.
While the new Aadhaar app looks similar to the existing mAadhaar, there are some key differences, such as the ability to update mobile numbers and addresses. So, if it has been a while since you updated your mobile number or address on Aadhaar, then you can use the new Aadhaar app to do so. Here’s how.
