A Florida man has been arrested on kidnapping charges after a woman accused him of holding her and her children in her home against her will.
According to an arrest affidavit obtained by PEOPLE, at approximately 2:45 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, police responded to a report of unlawful imprisonment at a residence in Miami, Florida.
Police found the woman and her 3-year-old child and rescued them.
Saady Mijail Castellanos Triminio, 34, was arrested on multiple charges, including kidnapping.
According to an arrest affidavit reviewed by PEOPLE, investigators learned the woman, who lives in Orlando, met Castellanos Triminio on the Facebook dating app about two weeks before the incident.
She told police that after several video calls, the two discussed meeting and Castellanos Triminio allegedly offered to buy her a plane ticket to Miami so they could meet and celebrate his birthday.
The woman and her daughter traveled to Miami on Friday for what she believed was their first date at a restaurant. But Castellanos Triminio picked them up, ordered pizza and took them to his home, according to testimony.
The woman told police that upon arriving at his residence, she began to feel uneasy.
The suspect allegedly asked to kiss her, but she refused. She said she wanted to go home and started packing her things.
She told police the suspect allegedly threatened her, saying it was “too dangerous” to leave, and then prevented her from leaving.
She said Castellanos Triminio briefly took her phone away after she tried to text a friend. She said he covered her mouth when she started screaming until she told him she couldn’t breathe, according to the affidavit.
The woman fled to a room with the child and called her friend, who then called 911.

When two officers arrived at Castellanos Triminio’s residence, one of them was still on the phone with the woman’s friend. The officer asked friends to let the woman make some noise so they could find her.
When Castellanos Triminio opened the door to police, the woman began screaming for help, and police detained him.
He was charged with kidnapping, robbery, child neglect and battery and strangulation, according to the affidavit.
