The Pittsburgh Steelers’ promising start to the season is now a distant memory. Having lost three of their last four games and sitting at 6-6, the Baltimore Ravens now control the division.

Not only that, but fans may be on the verge of collapse. They were booed and called for Mike Tomlin to be fired during a 26-7 home loss to the Buffalo Bills, and the head coach’s future may still be up in the air.
With that in mind, former Super Bowl champion head coach Bruce Arians shared his two cents on the situation. On “The Pat McAfee Show,” Arians urged Tomlin to pack his bags and start over somewhere else.

“Will Art [Rooney II] Pull the trigger? I seriously doubt it. If I were Mike, I would want to leave and go somewhere new. Start over,” Arians said. “Some players are tired of the information and you have to keep it fresh. Mike has done a great job keeping things fresh over the years. I was shocked to see how well our defense played. I was completely shocked. Because talent is not the problem. However, something has to change. Something has to change. The coordinator thing has happened five times. “
There has never been a losing season since Tomlin took the helm 18 years ago. He also led them to two Super Bowls and won one.

That being said, the Steelers haven’t won a playoff game in nearly a decade, and their once-dominant defense has been out of commission for some time now.
The Steelers rarely fire their coaches. They have had only 16 head coaches since the team was founded in 1933, and only three since 1969.
Even so, maybe it’s finally time to move on from Coach Tomlin, or vice versa. He’s a well-respected, defensive-minded coach who could step up and get another job in the league right away, with the Steelers seemingly overdue for a major overhaul.
Aaron Rodgers will likely retire after his age-40 season, and teams won’t have a high enough draft pick to find his replacement. Now is the perfect time for them to trade some stars and start fresh, even if it means not making the playoffs for a few years.
