CEO Spencer hinted that the company may be developing TV for its xCloud service. Spencer mocked the new development in an interview. Project xCloud is Microsoft’s own game streaming service that allows gamers to stream their favorite games directly on the phone screen. So far, the service is only available on Android smartphones and tablets. If Microsoft does release the xCloud dongle, it will allow gamers to start streaming on larger TV screens.

In an interview with Stratechery, Spencer said: “When you think of streaming sticks and other that people might want to plug in and play through the TV, I think you will make low-cost hardware part of our ecosystem. xCloud.”

Spencer also discussed the potential release of Xbox Game Pass Platinum, which will provide subscribers with access to the new Xbox console, although it is different from Xbox All Access (which already offers Xbox subscriptions and hardware bundling) did not disclose.

Spencer seems to plan to expand such bundles in the future. Part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (Microsoft’s game subscription service), xCloud allows users to stream more than 50 Xbox games on Android devices directly from the cloud. It was on the Android platform on September 15. After its release, it provides Beta versions for 22 markets. It should be noted that India is not part of the initial market for the service. However, it is expected that more regions will be added in the future.

As early as August, it was reported that the xCloud test for the iOS platform had been stopped by Microsoft. Therefore, the service does not seem to appear on the iPhone or iPad anytime soon.
