It is said that Xiaomi’s Mi Watch Lite has been found on the UL (Demko) certification website and may be the renamed Redmi Watch. The list was shared by a well-known promoter on Twitter, and Mi Watch Lite seems to be a lite and more affordable version of Mi Watch launched in China in November last year. The Mi Watch Lite list comes with the model number REDMIWT02, which only hints at the charging speed of the smartwatch.
The price of Mi Watch in China is RMB 1,299 (approximately Rs 13,000), and the price of its premium version is RMB 1,999 (approximately Rs 20,000). With the rumored Mi Watch Lite, Xiaomi seems to be adding affordable products to its product portfolio. UL (Demko) certified website list, shared TechUpdates7, a well-known technical expert on Twitter, showed a smart watch named “Mi Watch Lite” with model “REDMIWT02” and supports 5Vdc and 0.4A charging. The model itself indicates that it belongs to a Redmi watch, further implying that Mi Watch Lite is a renamed Redmi watch.
Not only that, according to the well-known digital chat station (translation) for salesmen on Weibo, a Redmi watch model REDMIWT01 was recently discovered in the list of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). The only thing that appears in the list is the model, but it itself tells us that the newly discovered Mi Watch Lite has a model similar to the rumored Redmi Watch, or even a renamed version.
Although there is no information about the rumored Mi Watch Lite specifications, or even confirmation from the company, Mi Watch can provide some ideas about what to expect from the Lite variant.
