Every new plugin Hybrid Equipped with 1.3-liter inline four-cylinder engine, it can be used with an electric motor and a 15.6 kWh battery pack. Unlike the Mercedes-Benz EQ Boost which provides torque fill in high-performance models, the electric motor and battery do increase the total power of the tap water.

Specifically, the CLA model and GLA have total of 218 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. Among these figures, electric motors can produce 100 hp and up to 221 lb-ft of torque. As for how far a car can travel on a single charge, it's hard to say.

Mercedes-Benz cited new European driving cycle data, which is an outdated measurement system and the estimates provided often do not reflect the real world well. The automaker said that in the NEDC cycle, CLA and GLA models can travel 44 to 49 miles on single charge, but if the EPA takes over the vehicle, it is more likely to travel 35 miles.
