Lions defense forces Cowboys captain Brandon Aubrey into field goal
After a 38-yard field goal on the opening drive, the Lions defense upset Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, forcing an incomplete pass on third down. Kicker Brandon Aubrey came on and hit a 57-yard field goal to tie the score at 3-3.

Lions hit target on opening drive
Despite two explosive plays from RB Jahmyr Gibbs on the opening drive, the Lions stalled in the red zone and quarterback Jared Goff was sacked at the 20, forcing the Lions to settle for a 38-yard field goal from kicker Jake Bates to give the Lions an early 3-0 lead.
