Samsung launched the worldR7;s first mini-LED gaming monitor Odyssey Neo G9 with quantum matrix technology. The gaming monitor is equipped with a curved display and supports Quantum HDR 2000, bringing an immersive gaming experience. This monitor is the successor to the Odyssey G9 launched last year. The new Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 uses Quantum Mini LED technology. Quantum Mini LEDs are only 1/40 of the height of traditional LEDs and have a thin micro-layer that fills multiple LEDs.

Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 price, availability

The company’s newly launched Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 curved gaming monitor equipped with Quantum Mini LEDs will begin accepting pre-orders on July 29 and will be available worldwide on August 9. Although Samsung has not listed the price on its website, according to The Verge, the price of the gaming monitor is US$2,499.99 (approximately Rs ,86,300).

Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 features

The Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 is equipped with an ultra-wide 49-inch dual -core HD (5,120×,440 pixel) display, supporting HDR10+, 32:9 aspect ratio, 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. It has a 178-degree viewing angle, 12-bit gradient for better control of the light source, and the Quantum Mini LED display has 2,048 dimming zones. Quantum HDR 2000 provides a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, is VDE (Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker) certified, and has a static contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. The 1000R curvature of the monitor has been certified by TÜV Rheinland Eye Comfort.

In addition, Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 has adaptive synchronization on DP1.4 and HDMI2. VRR (variable refresh rate) through HDMI 2.1. It also supports NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro for a better gaming experience. Game features include screen size optimizer, black equalizer, low input delay mode, refresh rate optimizer and super arena game user experience.

The display adopts a bright white appearance, an infinity core lighting system after 52 colors, and five lighting effect options. The monitor also has a CoreSync function, which can be used to customize a variety of color modes.
