Samsung Galaxy Buds Live true wireless headphones have been launched globally together with the Galaxy Note 20 series. The Galaxy Buds Live earphones are Samsung’s first earphones with active noise reduction, and it came out after months of rumors and leaks around the bean-shaped premium true wireless earphones. Samsung Galaxy Buds Live is priced at US$169.99 (approximately Rs 12,700), which is much lower compared to flagship products such as Apple AirPods Pro, Sony WF-1000XM3 and Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2.

Samsung Galaxy Buds Live is available in three colors-black, bronze, and white-and has a 12mm drive that can be adjusted by AKG. There are three microphones (two on the outside of the headset and one on the inside). Like the true wireless headsets of the early Samsung Galaxy Buds, Buds Live uses Bluetooth v5.0 to connect and supports SBC, AAC and expandable Bluetooth codecs. The design uses the outer ear fitting design, which is said to be able to listen in the environment while also eliminating noise.
The shell of Samsung Galaxy Buds Live has a USB Type-C port for charging, while the earphones each have a 60mAh battery, and the shell has a 472mAh battery. Samsung claims that each charging cycle can use up to 29 hours of battery life, while the headset can run for 8 hours on a single charge. In addition, there is a fast charging function, which can play for 1 hour and provide 5 minutes of charging time. The waterproof level of the headset is IPX2, and it can be used with Samsung’s Bixby voice assistant.
In addition to active noise cancellation, the new Samsung Galaxy Buds Live also provides Qi wireless charging for the case, touch controls, and app-based custom functions through the Samsung Galaxy Buds app for iOS and the Galaxy Wearable app for Android Features. The app allows users to control noise cancellation, adjust equalizer settings, customize touch controls, and view the battery level on the headset and charging case.

Samsung Galaxy Buds Live is priced at US$169.99 (approximately Rs 12,700), which is much cheaper than competitors’ prices, and active noise reduction can be obtained from major brands such as Apple and Sony. This headset will be on sale in selected global markets on August 6. There is no information on the price and availability of Samsung Galaxy Buds in India, which may be revealed in the next few days.
