With so much attention on Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Clint Kubiak and Denver Broncos passing game coordinator Davis Webb, one of the other candidates for the Las Vegas Raiders head coaching job has been forgotten.

That candidate is Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero, who is the first known second interview the Raiders have held, suggesting he is a finalist.
As other candidates have come and gone, Everlo has quietly remained in the race, with ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reporting that Everlo remains in the race.
Fowler also provided some details from Everrow’s interview, saying the Panthers coach gave a “detailed quarterback/offensive plan” in the meeting with Las Vegas.
“The Raiders are targeting Clint Kubiak, but Panthers DC Ejiro Everlo is still in the mix. Some candidates have been eliminated, but he hasn’t,” Fowler said. “He communicated detailed quarterback/offensive plans in in-person meetings with the Raiders. The Raiders and Everlo have been linked to Denver.”

All signs point to the Raiders leaning toward an offensive-minded head coach, which makes sense considering the team will draft Fernando Mendoza.
It was crucial for Efro to have a sound plan, and it was clear that this plan was enough for him to come out on top and make it to the finals.
There’s no question that Everlo is qualified for the job. He served twice as defensive coordinator, spending one year with the Denver Broncos and three years with the Panthers. Everrow’s NFL coaching journey dates back to 2007.
Now, with Webber withdrawing from consideration, Kubiak appears to be Everlo’s last form of competition as other candidates who received second interviews with Las Vegas have either dropped out or looked elsewhere.

The Seahawks product has not yet had a second interview with the Raiders, but that is expected to happen this weekend.
We believe Kubiak is the guy the Raiders want given his offensive background, but there’s no guarantee he’ll take the job now, which means Everlo is one step away from getting the job unless another candidate comes on board.
