The Kentucky Wildcats have made a big turnaround this season, winning eight of their last nine games. They’ve put themselves in a good position to be an SEC contender and a threat once the NCAA tournament begins.

According to Fanduel, the Wildcats are currently +1700 points away from winning the SEC Championship. Their odds rank third in the league, behind John Calipari’s Arkansas (+1100) and the defending national champion Florida Gators (-900). The Wildcats still have some work to do if they want to be regular season champions, but it’s not impossible.

The Cats’ rise is certainly coming at the right time, with March Madness still about a month away. If Mark Pope’s team can re-sign potential lottery pick Jaden Quintens in time for the championship season, it will almost certainly bolster the team’s depth.

The Wildcats certainly have an underrated chance to make the final weekend of the NCAA Tournament. Currently, the Cats are +2,000 points away from making the Final Four, according to Fanduel Sportsbook. The Wildcats are definitely going to need some luck if they want to reach the Final Four for the 18th time in program history.

Ultimately, Fanduel gives the Wildcats a +8000 chance of becoming national champions. A $10 bet would win $800 if the Cats finished ninth.
