The New York Jets ended the 2025 NFL season with not only one of the worst records in franchise history, but also one of the worst point differentials all season long. New York thought about competing in the first half of the season, but they pivoted to a full rebuild midway through the season. However, this season doesn’t seem to be all bad.
ESPN’s Kalyn Kahler recently released the results of the 2026 NFLPA report card, and surprisingly, Jets head coach Aaron Glenn received an A grade for his performance, while general manager Darren Mougey received an A- grade. According to Kahler, the results come from feedback from 1,759 players who ranked teams based on categories such as team ownership and weight room.

In terms of overall rankings, taking all feedback into consideration, the Jets finished 18th out of 32 teams, an impressive finish considering the team is coming off one of the worst seasons in the organization’s history. Glenn’s first season as head coach and Muggie’s first season as New York’s general manager began a season of hard work from the coaches to the players.
The Jets started the season on an optimistic note due to a host of changes within the organization, but they quickly began the 2025 season with a seven-game losing streak before beating the Cincinnati Bengals 39-38 in Week 8. New York couldn’t get enough quarterback play from Justin Fields, Tyrod Taylor or Brady Cook, but the running game was at least usable in yards and four touchdowns thanks to running back Brees Hall and his 1,065 rushes.
By Week 8, the Jets traded cornerback Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts for two first-round picks and wide receiver Adonai Mitchell, and defensive tackle Quinnen Williams to the Dallas Cowboys for two first-round picks and defensive tackle Mads Smith. Ultimately, the Jets have gone through a lot in the 2025 season, but the players still seem to appreciate the performance of Glenn and Muggie.
