Jay Harris not listed on Oregon Ducks availability report

Oregon Ducks fans were treated to some terrible news on Tuesday night as leading running back Jorden Davidson was listed as “out” for Friday’s Peach Bowl matchup against Indiana in the College Football Playoff semifinals, confirming some widespread speculation about a possible collarbone injury the freshman suffered last week against the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

There is a glimmer of hope, however, for many Oregon fans who noticed that running back Jay Harris, who announced his intention to enter the transfer portal, was not listed as out like other transfer portal players. Does this mean Harris can still play after training with the team on Monday?

Well, that may still be the case based on Wednesday night’s availability report. Although Harris reportedly officially entered the transfer portal on Wednesday, he still has not been listed on the availability report. Whether that means he can play on Friday remains a major question.

If Harris is able to play, it would be huge for the Ducks, who otherwise only have a pair of healthy scholarship RBs on their roster in Noah Whittington and Deir Hill. At this point, though, it seems unlikely that we’ll get a decisive answer until pregame warmups begin on Friday night.
