As NFL free agency approaches, let’s start tracking the early rumors and reports surrounding the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The NFL’s legal tampering window opens on Monday, March 9 at 12:00 PM ET. At this point, the free agent can begin negotiating a deal with a new team.

Then, at 4:00 pm ET on March 11, the free agent market officially opens, and any trades agreed upon in the previous two days will become official at that time.
However, the Jaguars still have some work to do on the salary cap front before free agency arrives. Jacksonville currently ranks near the bottom in terms of salary cap space, and James Gladstone will need to make some salary cap adjustments to create room to operate.
Here are the latest reports and rumors surrounding the Jaguars so far. We will update this article as new information becomes available.
“Good Market” by Travis Etienne
The Jaguars running back will be one of the best players at the position. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, fresh off the NFL Combine, reports that there “should be a good market” for Etienne.

Montaric Brown ‘well positioned’ in CB market
Fowler listed Brown as one of his “sleeper free agents” after speaking with NFL executives.
“Having signed top players, he is well positioned in the centre-half market,” Fowler wrote. Jordan Reid noted in his latest mock draft that “Montaric Brown could keep himself out of Jacksonville’s plans.”
Re-signing Brown would make sense for the Jaguars, but they might face some competition.
Andrew Wingard latest news
In summarizing Fowler’s NFL combine notes, he also placed Andrew Wingard in the “sleeper free agent category,” adding that he will have a chance to be the team’s starter.

“He made the most of a starting role in Jacksonville and there was interest early on – albeit small, that he was going to be a starter somewhere,” Fowler wrote.
