British luxury carmaker Jaguar has unveiled its new corporate logo and first images of its first all-electric car. The redesigned logo represents a departure from Jaguar’s traditional logo, moving away from the iconic leaping Jaguar silhouette towards a more modern visual language. The rebranding comes with the company’s ambitious plan to transition to fully electric vehicles by 2026.
Design and technical highlights
The prototype is expected to be the next-generation XF, showcasing a unique design language. According to the brand’s teaser images, the car has a large front overhang and a compact rear profile. The model is also said to feature signature Jaguar design elements, including a square faux grille and unique twin-barrel headlights. Notably, the car is also reportedly equipped with door-mounted exterior mirrors.
strategic transformation
Jaguar’s transformation involves completely eliminating combustion engine models and committing to an all-electric lineup. The first electric vehicles are expected to be gradually unveiled in the coming months, with full debut planned for 2025 and market launch planned for 2026.
The company has said it plans major market expansion, including potential manufacturing operations in India. The strategy suggests the brand should tap domestic and international markets to grow its electric vehicle portfolio.
